Description
The SureFire SOCOM Muzzle Brake in .338 caliber, model SFMB-338-5/8-24, is a stainless steel muzzle device with a black Ionbond DLC finish. It is designed to reduce recoil impulse and muzzle rise on .338 caliber rifles and to serve as a Fast-Attach mounting adapter for compatible SureFire SOCOM .338 suppressors.
The muzzle brake uses neutral porting intended to load bipod legs evenly and a design intended to limit side blast and rear-directed concussion. It has a 5/8-24 thread pitch and is fitted with single-point cut threads for the thread interface. The DLC coating is intended to aid cleaning after extended use.
The device fits .338 caliber rifles with 5/8-24 muzzle threads and is compatible with SureFire SOCOM .338 suppressors. Its suppressor mount provides multiple bearing surfaces for alignment when a SOCOM suppressor is attached.
