Description
The SureFire SOCOM Muzzle Brake is a stainless steel muzzle device for AR-15 platform rifles, including M4 and M16 weapons and their variants. It is designed to reduce recoil impulse and muzzle rise so the rifle tracks straight back and the shooter can recover faster between shots. Its Impulse Diffusion design is intended to reduce side blast and rear-directed concussion.
The muzzle brake is machined from heat-treated stainless steel bar stock with single-point cut threads. It has a black DLC finish for corrosion protection and easier cleaning. It is 2.6 inches overall length with 5/8-24 tpi threads, the standard thread pitch for this mount.
The device also serves as a suppressor adapter for SureFire SOCOM762 suppressors and the SOCOM Series fast-attach suppressors. It is chambered for 308 Winchester and 7.62x51mm NATO.
