Description
The TacStar Stock Adapter is a black die cast metal alloy adapter that lets a Mossberg 500, 590 or 990 shotgun in 12 gauge accept an AR-15 type telescoping stock or pistol grip. It is intended for shooters who want an AR-style stock on a Mossberg pump-action shotgun.
The adapter is shaped to match the factory receiver contours and is designed to give proper drop for use with bead or ghost ring sights. The die cast alloy adds weight, which the manufacturer states helps reduce felt recoil. The adapter accepts standard AR-15 grips and grips with a flexible rubber beavertail, and it includes QD sling attachment ports on both sides.
The adapter does not include a buffer tube or stock, so these must be purchased separately.
