Description
The Taran Tactical Firepower base pad is an aftermarket aluminum floorplate for full-size Smith & Wesson M&P Shield magazines chambered in 9mm Luger and .40 S&W. It attaches and detaches without specialty tools, using a one-piece design with no separate parts to lose during disassembly.
The pad is machined from billet aluminum and hard anodized in a flat black finish. Its added weight helps an empty magazine drop free for faster reloads. A stronger internal spring is included to support the increased round count. Installed, it raises capacity by two rounds in 9mm or one round in .40 S&W, for 23+1 rounds of 9mm or 20+1 rounds of .40 S&W.
The base pad meets the USPSA 140mm gauge but is not legal for Production Division competition.
