Taylors and Co Springfield Trapdoor Walnut .45-70 34 Barrel 1-Round

Taylors and Co Springfield Trapdoor Features The Taylors and Co Springfield Trapdoor faithfully reproduces the single shot trapdoor action that served as the standard U.S. military rifle for decades chambered here in the hard-hitting .45-70 GOVT cartridge. A 34 barrel gives the rifle an extended sight radius that helps improve precision at longer ranges a traditional trait of period rifles built before modern optics. The 1:18 twist rate is matched to the heavier lead bullets historically fired in .45-70 stabilizing them properly for accurate flight. A dovetail tunnel front sight paired with an adjustable rear sight gives the shooter a traditional period-correct sighting system that remains genuinely usable at the range. A color case hardened receiver provides the mottled swirling finish collectors and historical shooters recognize immediately contrasting beautifully against the blued barrel. The walnut wood stock completes the authentic look while providing a traditional point of contact that modern synthetic stocks cannot replicate. At 51.88 overall and 9.25 pounds the rifle carries real heft that helps tame the recoil of the powerful .45-70 cartridge while keeping the single shot action steady on target. For collectors reenactors and single shot rifle enthusiasts who want a faithfully built reproduction of an iconic American military rifle the Taylors and Co Springfield Trapdoor delivers historical accuracy with genuine shooting performance that stands up on the range and in the display case alike.
