Taylors & Company 1873 .357 Magnum 18" Lever Action Rifle, Walnut

Taylors and Co 1873 Trapper Taylor Tuned Features The Taylors and Co 1873 Trapper carries forward the design of the original Winchester 1873 a rifle that became an immediate favorite with civilian shooters once it reached the market. This Taylor Tuned version goes beyond the base 1873 platform with a custom action that includes hand polishing of the internal components custom hammer and lever springs and a custom magazine tube spring all aimed at producing one of the smoothest hammer and trigger pulls available in a lever action rifle. The action is also lightened overall which reduces the effort needed to cycle the lever through each shot. Chambered in .357 Magnum and able to also fire .38 Special the rifle gives shooters flexibility in ammunition cost and recoil without sacrificing reliability. The rifle s 18 inch barrel is blued steel with a 1 in 18.75 inch right-hand twist and 6 grooves feeding a 10 round tubular magazine for substantial capacity in a lever gun. A case hardened steel frame and triggerguard provide the classic color case finish associated with the original 1873 design paired with a checkered pistol grip buttstock and checkered forend in walnut for a traditional refined look. Fixed sights including a dovetail blade front and dovetail buckhorn rear keep the rifle true to its period correct styling while remaining practical for field use. At an overall length of 36.87 inches the 1873 Trapper Taylor Tuned blends historical design with a hand-tuned action for shooters who want performance alongside heritage.
