Thompson Center Contender 14" 30-30 Winchester Blued Barrel

Thompson Center Contender Barrel Features The Thompson Center Barrel for Contender is machined from chrome moly steel and chambered in .30-30 Winchester giving Contender owners a rifle caliber option within their pistol frame system. At 14 inches long with a diameter of 0.810 inches the barrel is sized to maintain the balance and handling the Contender platform is known for. Finished in a traditional blued coating the barrel ships with no sights installed and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts letting owners add the optic of their choice. This barrel is not compatible with Encore frames so Contender owners should confirm their frame type before purchasing. Swapping Contender barrels is a simple process that requires removing the forend and tapping out the barrel to frame hinge pin with no gunsmithing or special tools needed. This interchangeability is one of the defining features of the Contender platform allowing a single frame to be configured for multiple calibers and uses. The .30-30 Winchester chambering gives Contender shooters a proven mild recoiling rifle cartridge option suited to hunting medium game at Contender appropriate ranges. As a genuine Thompson Center factory part this barrel guarantees the fit and reliability that owners expect from their original equipment.
