Thompson Center Encore Pro Hunter 45-70 Gov 26" Fluted Barrel

Thompson Center Encore Pro Hunter Barrel Features The Thompson Center Arms Encore Pro Hunter Barrel is chambered in .45-70 Gov and fluted to create the strongest lightweight barrel possible shedding weight while keeping the rigidity needed for consistent accuracy on big game. A 1:20 twist rate is matched to the heavy slow-moving bullets typical of the .45-70 cartridge stabilizing them for reliable terminal performance. The matte blued finish resists corrosion and wear from repeated handling and hard field use. Every Pro Hunter barrel is factory test fired at 100 yards to verify accuracy before it ships giving buyers confidence in the barrel s performance straight out of the box. This barrel is designed as a drop-in replacement for Encore series rifles only swapping onto the existing frame without any gunsmithing required. It will not fit Contender or G2 Contender frames so Encore owners can add an additional big-bore caliber option to their existing rifle setup quickly and easily. Threaded 11/16x24 the barrel accepts a muzzle brake or suppressor suited to the .45-70 s heavier recoil. For Thompson Center Encore owners looking to expand their rifle s versatility into .45-70 Gov this Pro Hunter barrel offers a straightforward no-gunsmithing upgrade.
