Uberti 1886 Sporting 45-70 Govt 25.5" Octagon Barrel Lever Action Rifle

Uberti 1886 Sporting Features The Uberti 1886 Sporting .45-70 embodies the strength and heritage of the original 1886 design long respected for its ability to manage large heavy-hitting cartridges. The extended 25.5 octagonal barrel provides excellent forward balance and a generous sight radius contributing to the consistent deliberate feel characteristic of a full-size lever-action rifle. Its smooth lever throw and robust locking system reflect the dependable performance hunters and marksmen have associated with the 1886 pattern for generations. The rifle's deep blued barrel pairs elegantly with the case-hardened receiver and finely checkered A-grade walnut stock creating a traditional sporting aesthetic. A six-groove 1:20 right-hand twist stabilizes .45-70 loads effectively at practical hunting distances while the 44.875 overall length and 9.1-pound weight provide reassuring steadiness under recoil. The 8+1 capacity further enhances field usefulness making the Sporting model a well-balanced blend of classic power and refined craftsmanship.
