Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT Carbon 7mm BC 20" 3-Round Rifle

Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT Carbon Features The Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT Carbon is built around the Model 307 action a two lug fully cylindrical receiver designed to complement the historic Mark V and Vanguard lineups while opening compatibility with the vast range of aftermarket stocks triggers rails and magazines available today. The BSF carbon barrel delivers accuracy with reduced weight compared to a traditional steel barrel and is finished in carbon gray Cerakote for corrosion resistance. An Accubrake DST or Directional Self Timing Brake threads onto the muzzle to significantly cut felt recoil helping shooters stay on target through the shot. A 1:8 inch twist rate is matched to stabilize the 7mm BC cartridge s heavier bullets at extended range. Weatherby partnered with MDT to build the HNT26 carbon fiber chassis found on the Alpine MDT Carbon combining an ultralight structure with a foldable buttstock that shaves over 9 inches off the rifle s total length when collapsed. That folding design makes the rifle notably easier to pack transport or stow in a blind or pack compared to a fixed stock rifle of similar performance. A 2 position thumb safety offers straightforward control in the field and the rifle s 20 inch barrel keeps the overall package shorter and lighter than traditional long action hunting rifles. For hunters and long range shooters who want a chassis rifle light enough to carry all day and compact enough to pack away the Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT Carbon delivers that combination.
