Western Field M550AR 12 Gauge Pump Action Shotgun

This Western Field Model M550AR 12 Gauge shotgun is a classic pump-action shotgun showing good overall condition for its age. The metal finish exhibits light handling and carry wear consistent with normal use, while the wood stock and forend remain attractive with only minor cosmetic marks. The shotgun features a vent-rib barrel and ventilated recoil pad, making it a practical choice for hunting, sporting use, or collecting vintage department store firearms. The Western Field M550AR was sold through Montgomery Ward and was manufactured by Mossberg, sharing many design features with the proven Mossberg 500 series. Exact manufacture dates are not available from the serial number alone, but the M550AR was generally produced during the 1970s and early 1980s. Known for its reliability, simple operation, and affordable pricing, the M550AR remains a respected example of the era's American-made sporting shotguns.
