Winchester Model 1873 Short Rifle 357 Magnum 20" Blued Walnut

The Winchester Model 1873 Short Rifle is a lever-action rifle chambered in 357 Magnum, with 38 Special also listed as a compatible caliber. It is offered for cowboy action shooting, hunting and collectors of the Model 1873 pattern.

The rifle has a 20-inch round barrel and an overall length of 39 inches, with a weight of 7.4 pounds. It features a semi-buckhorn rear sight with an adjustable rear sight option and a bead front sight. The receiver is blued, with a walnut straight-grip stock, a classic rifle-style forearm, a blued steel crescent buttplate and a steel loading gate. The capacity is listed as 10 rounds.

The rifle is right-handed and uses a full-length magazine tube. Because the 38 Special shares a rimmed case with the 357 Magnum, the same ammunition family applies to the revolver in cowboy action matches.
