Description
The Work Sharp Ken Onion Blade-Grinder Attachment for the MK.1 is a horizontal belt attachment for knife shaping, sharpening, and honing. This 4-pulley attachment is fully adjustable from 10 to 35 in 1 increments. The top pulleys have 2 center distance positions for choosing your preferred belt deflection to create a full convex or a near-flat convex edge profile. Cast-metal components and engineered polymers hold up to the rigors of heavy sharpening. The belt speed is adjustable from 1,200 SFM to 2,800 SFM for a range of sharpening and honing tasks. Accepts an optional leather belt for power stropping (not included). A flat reference plate is provided so you can level your blade, so the sharpening method is always the same. A micro-adjust belt-tracking knob ensures the belt stays centered. Spring tensioner with a sealed bearing has a lock-out feature that makes belt changes fast and easy without the need for tools. Includes cool-cutting, engineered, long-life 18"L x 1"W belts for shaping, sharpening, honing and stropping.
