The front sight features a unique photoluminescent Glow Dot that absorbs surrounding light and emits a gentle glow when lighting is limited. Its convex shape maximizes surface area, enhancing light absorption and intensifying the brightness of the Glow Dot. The primary goal in designing the DXW2 sights was to create a large and highly visible system that addresses common challenges, such as aging eyes and diminishing vision. During our testing, we discovered that the orange front sight is exceptionally visible in daylight, while the yellow variant shines brighter in low-light environments. The rear sight's shallow V shape ensures a simple, low-profile design that provides an extensive field of view. This design, paired with a reflective white stripe, facilitates easy alignment and minimizes distraction from the rear sight, allowing focus on the front sight. To avoid confusion in high-stress situations, we've implemented the "dot-the-i" sight picture, which features a tritium dot in the front sight and a reflective white stripe in the rear.
