Description
The XS Sight Systems R3D Night Sights are iron sight replacements for Canik TP9 pistols, built to give a traditional three-dot picture with tritium lamps for use in low light. The rear sight has a blacked-out face to increase contrast against the front sight, and the front ring carries Ember Glow Dot Technology that absorbs ambient light and glows in the dark.
The sights are CNC machined from steel with a matte blued finish. The front blade measures 0.145 inch (3.68 mm) wide and the rear notch measures 0.170 inch (4.32 mm) wide. The front tritium lamp is brighter than the two rear lamps. Green offers the strongest glow in low light, while orange contrasts better in bright conditions.
The sights fit the Canik TP9SF, TP9SFx, TP9SF Elite, TP9 EC, TP9 Elite SC, and current production TP9SA. Installation can be done with a sight pusher tool or with a hammer and punch.
