Description
The XS R3D Night Sight Set is a pair of iron sights for handguns, sold here in an orange front and black rear configuration. It uses a traditional three-dot, notch and post sight picture with tritium illumination on the front and rear sights, intended for accurate shooting in both bright and low light.
The front sight carries an Ember Glow photoluminescent dot that absorbs ambient light and glows in low light, and the front tritium lamp charges that dot so the front sight appears brighter than the rear. The rear sight is blacked out to increase contrast against the orange front sight. A rear sight overhang and anti-reflective rear tritium lens are included to reduce glare in bright light.
The set is listed as fitting Sig Sauer P320, P365, P225, P226 and P229 pistols, Springfield Armory XD, XDm and XDs pistols, and the FN 509.
