The Armaspec Sound Mitigation Buffer Gen 3 H is a captured drop-in buffer and spring assembly for AR-15 carbine buffer tubes. It replaces the standard buffer and spring as a single unit, and is intended to keep the buffer spring from rubbing against the inner wall of the buffer tube for smoother, quieter operation.
The kit is listed for 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington chamberings and weighs 3.8 oz. The main spring can be trimmed at 0.25 lb per coil to adjust spring tension, up to a maximum of 12 coils removed. The buffer is black in finish.
