Rock Island Armory GI Standard FS 38 Super 5" 9-Round Pistol

The Rock Island Armory GI Standard FS is a full-size, single-action 1911-style pistol chambered in 38 Super. It is built to the pattern of the original US GI combat 1911, with fixed low-profile sights and a slim, traditional frame suited to holster carry and general range use.

The pistol has a 5-inch barrel and a steel frame and slide with a parkerized black finish, which gives a non-reflective, wear-resistant surface. Its overall length is 8.54 inches and it weighs 2.56 pounds unloaded. The standard capacity is 9 rounds, and the grips are smooth wood.

The GI Standard uses a manual thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety, and the factory trigger is rated at about 4 to 6 pounds. Its 1911 platform means it accepts 1911-pattern magazines and holsters.
