Description
The Rock Island Armory GI Standard FS is a full-size semi-automatic pistol built on the 1911 platform and chambered in 45 ACP. It is modeled on the original US GI combat-issue 1911 and is intended for general shooting and as a traditional defensive-style handgun.
The pistol has a 5-inch threaded barrel, a steel construction with a black parkerized finish, and fixed low-profile sights. It weighs 2.47 pounds and holds 8 rounds per magazine. The raw description cites a factory trigger of 4 to 6 pounds, and the barrel is described as suppressor ready.
Because the barrel is threaded, a compatible muzzle device or suppressor mount can be fitted, provided it matches the thread specification.
