The Birchwood Casey Duracap is a dummy round, also called a snap cap, for 22 LR rifles and pistols. It is used for safety training and function testing, letting a shooter cycle the action and dry-fire the firearm without live ammunition.
The Duracap is CNC machined from solid aluminum and finished with a red hard anodized coating for smooth feeding and cycling. Each cap has a rubber firing pin impact buffer that protects the firing pin from damage during repeated strikes. The dimensions are precise for reliable function, and the caps are laser marked for easy identification.
This six-round package is sized for 22 LR chambers. It also works well for storing in a magazine or case to keep track of the chambered action.
