Description
The Birchwood Casey Duracap is an action proving dummy round, also called a snap cap, for 7.62x39mm firearms. Its purpose is to let you cycle the action and dry-fire the gun without a live primer striking the firing pin, which supports safety training, function testing and storage.
Each round is CNC machined from solid aluminum and hard anodized for smooth feeding and extraction. A rubber firing pin impact buffer protects the firing pin from damage during dry firing. The rounds are laser marked to make them easy to identify among live ammunition.
