BSF Barrels 6.5mm 18" 1:8 Twist Rifle Barrel

Bsf Barrels Creedmoor Barrel Features The Bsf Barrels Creedmoor Barrel starts life as a 416R stainless steel match barrel turned down and then jacketed under tension in a roll-wrapped carbon fiber sleeve rather than simply wrapped over the surface. This jacketing method was chosen specifically because surface-wrapped carbon fiber barrels are prone to trapping heat and delaminating a failure mode this construction avoids. The carbon fiber itself is engineered to expand at the same rate as the 416R stainless steel underneath so the barrel keeps its rifling straight even as it heats up during strings of fire. Button rifling with a 1 in 8 twist and six grooves gives the 6.5 Creedmoor chambering consistent repeatable accuracy shot after shot. Because the carbon fiber sleeve is under tension rather than just bonded to the surface the barrel stays stiffer and stronger while weighing far less than a comparable steel barrel a real advantage for shooters carrying a rifle long distances. The 18 length balances velocity retention with a manageable overall rifle length for field and competition use alike. A 5/8x24 threaded muzzle accepts a brake compensator or suppressor giving shooters flexibility to tune recoil and muzzle rise to their preference. The Bsf Barrels Creedmoor Barrel is available for sale at ARMSAGORA for precision rifle builders who want the accuracy of a steel match barrel without the weight penalty.
