BSF Barrels Bolt Action Carbon Fiber 6.5 Creedmoor 24" Barrel

BSF Barrels Bolt Action Barrel Features The Bsf Barrels 6.5 Creedmoor barrel starts as a turned down 416R stainless steel match barrel before being jacketed in a roll wrapped carbon fiber sleeve loaded under tension a method chosen to avoid the heat trapping and delamination issues that occur when carbon fiber is wrapped directly onto a barrel. The carbon fiber is engineered to expand at the same rate as the 416R stainless steel beneath it allowing the two materials to perform together as the barrel heats during firing. For barrels with the carbon ported machined slots let air circulate around the barrel to vent heat quickly without compromising the carbon fiber jacket. This keeps the rifling straighter as the barrel warms helping maintain accuracy through extended strings of fire. This bolt action barrel measures 24 inches with a button rifled 1:8 twist and 6 grooves a twist rate well matched to the heavier bullet weights common in 6.5 Creedmoor. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 to accept a wide range of muzzle devices for long range shooting. At 42.3 ounces the under tension carbon fiber construction keeps the barrel lightweight while preserving the stiffness and strength shooters expect from a precision rifle barrel. The Bsf Barrels 6.5 Creedmoor barrel is available for sale at ARMSAGORA for bolt action shooters seeking a lightweight high performance barrel upgrade.
