Description
The Chiappa Rhino 30DS is a six-shot double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. Its defining feature is a cylinder that fires from the bottom rather than the top, which lowers the axis of the bore close to the shooter's palm and is intended to reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil. The hexagonal cylinder keeps the overall width narrow, and the hammer is fully enclosed to resist snagging.
The revolver has a 3-inch barrel with a vent rib, an overall length of 6.70 inches, and a weight of 27.20 ounces. The frame and barrel shroud are aluminum alloy with a nickel-plated finish, and the steel cylinder is also nickel-plated. Sights are a fixed fiber optic front and an adjustable fiber optic rear, and a cocked indicator shows hammer status. Grips are black rubber.
The package includes moon clips for loading the cylinder.
