Description
The Chiappa Rhino 60DS is a six-shot double-action/single-action revolver chambered in 9mm Luger. Its defining design feature is a cylinder that fires from the bottom rather than the top, lowering the bore axis close to the shooter's palm, which the manufacturer states reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil. The revolver is intended for recreational shooting, range use and defensive carry.
The 6-inch barrel and 10.5-inch overall length are paired with an aluminum alloy frame and barrel shroud, with a listed weight of 2.06 pounds. The concealed, snag-resistant hammer sits within an enclosed firing mechanism and can be fired single or double action. A visible cocked indicator shows hammer status, and the hexagonal cylinder keeps the width to a minimum. The black anodized finish and fixed fiber optic front sight with adjustable fiber optic rear sight complete the platform.
The package includes moon clips for 9mm cartridges. The frame size is listed as large, and the grips are walnut.
