Description

The Chiappa M1-9 is a semi-automatic carbine modeled after the USGI M1 Carbine, the rifle it closely follows in overall dimensions, trigger group design and sights. It is chambered in 9mm Luger, a more affordable and widely available cartridge than the original's .30 Carbine round, and is intended for recreational shooting and general practice.

The rifle has a 19-inch barrel, an overall length of 36 inches and a weight of 6.3 pounds. Its steel construction carries a blued finish, and it uses a straight blowback action. The sights are a fixed military-style front and an adjustable military-style rear. The receiver has a dovetail machined on top of the front and rear receiver rings.

The M1-9 feeds from standard Beretta 92 style magazines, and two 10-round magazines are included with each rifle. It is a right-hand rifle.
