Description
The Cimarron Model P Pre-War 1896-1940 is a single action revolver modeled on the 1873 Colt Peacemaker, a sidearm long associated with the American frontier. It is intended for Western shooting, collecting and historical reenactment. The replica was reproduced in detail from an original 1873 single action rather than from drawings, and it includes the Cowboy Comp action, which Cimarron states addresses weaknesses in the 19th century design.
The revolver has a 5.5-inch barrel, a six-round steel cylinder and a steel frame with color case hardened finish. It uses a wide front sight, an exposed hammer and walnut grips, and weighs 2.56 pounds. The blued barrel and cylinder are finished to match the period appearance.
Chambered in 45 Colt (LC), it accepts 45 Colt ammunition. Confirm that any load you use is rated for the revolver.
