Description
Citadel Firearms M1911 Commander Features The Citadel Firearms M1911 Commander is constructed from 4140 ordnance steel machined on precision CNC equipment and hand-fitted to strict tolerance guidelines delivering a traditional 1911 platform with unmatched quality and value in the Commander size configuration. The Series 70 firing system provides a crisp reliable trigger pull without the additional parts complexity of Series 80 designs and the skeletonized hammer and trigger reduce reciprocating mass for improved cycling and a cleaner aesthetic. A lowered and flared ejection port ensures positive case ejection through high round counts without feeding or extraction issues. The extended beavertail grip safety provides comfortable positive grip safety engagement for a wide range of hand sizes and grip styles preventing the hammer bite common with standard 1911 grip safeties during rapid fire. The extended slide stop allows positive one-handed slide lock and release without shifting grip and the tactical design combines these functional upgrades in a Commander-length package that balances concealability with shootability. At 8 overall and 37.92 oz. the M1911 Commander delivers the full-weight feel of a steel 1911 in a slightly more compact format than a full-size Government model. Citadel Firearms builds the M1911 line using proven 4140 ordnance steel and industry-leading CNC manufacturing to deliver a hand-fitted traditionally designed 1911 that performs out of the box without requiring gunsmith attention or aftermarket upgrades.
