Commissioned to celebrate Colt's founding milestone (18361961) as a premium, 2nd Generation commemorative manufactured strictly during the 1961 calendar year. This revolver is number 1959 of 7,390 units produced. The 7-1/2 inch barrel, cylinder, and main frame are finished in Colt's highly polished, mirror-like Royal Blue. The backstrap, trigger guard, hammer, ejector rod head, and base pin are heavily plated in 24k gold. The smooth high-grade walnut grips are inset with specialized gold 125th Anniversary medallions. Comes in a Colt-emblazoned wood case.
