This Colt Single Action Army revolver (1st gen) is chambered in .41 Colt. Firearm features 4 3/4 inch barrel, blue finish, and plastic grips. Standard blade front sight. Includes factory letter which states this revolver was shipped on September 14, 1906, to Norvell Shapleigh Hardware Company in St. Louis, Missouri. The top of the barrel has the two-line Colt Hartford address and "41 COLT." is on the left. Matching visible full serial numbers are marked on the frame, trigger guard, and butt, partial matching "3105" is correctly handwritten on the interior of the left grip, unnumbered cylinder, and assembly number "4748" is on the loading gate. The name "P.G.C. RUESEN" is neatly period inscribed on the butt of the backstrap. Condition is very good, retains 20% original blue finish, strong traces of original case colors in protected areas, refinished cylinder, with smooth brown and gray patina on the balance, pitting, and freckling. The grips are very fine, with a few minor handling marks, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Pistol and letter only; No box, no extras.
