Description
The CZ 457 Varmint is a bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered in 17 HMR, built for target shooting and small game. Its heavy, cylindrical barrel measures 20.5 inches and is intended to handle a wide range of rimfire loads with consistent accuracy.
The receiver is stainless steel and the stock is Turkish walnut with an American-style comb suited to a scope, a wide flat forend that rests well on a sandbag, and laser-cut stippling for grip. The rifle weighs 7.08 pounds, measures 38.62 inches overall, and holds 5 rounds. It has an 11mm dovetail on the receiver for scope ring mounts and no iron sights.
The bolt rotates 60 degrees rather than 90, allowing larger objective bells with lower ring heights. The trigger is adjustable for weight, creep and over-travel. The rifle is offered as a right-hand model.
