Forster .223 Remington 11-Piece Steel Headspace Gauge Set

Forster Headspace Gauge 11-Piece Set Features The set covers gauge lengths of 1.4636 1.4646 1.4656 1.4666 1.4676 1.4686 1.4696 1.4706 1.4716 1.4726 and 1.4736 with that final figure representing the maximum end of the specification. Working up through the stack until the bolt will no longer close tells the user precisely where a chamber sits within the allowable window information a two gauge check simply cannot provide. Correct headspace is what stands between a rifle that fires safely and one that risks misfires excessive case stretch or a ruptured case so knowing the actual number matters when a barrel is being chambered or a used rifle is being evaluated. For a gunsmith setting back a barrel or a builder dialing in a new .223 Rem chamber that level of resolution is the difference between guessing and knowing. Each gauge is machined to exacting tolerances from steel and Forster builds them to hold that accuracy through the repeated handling of a working shop rather than an occasional bench check. The complete set weighs only 0.22 lbs and measures roughly 7 inches by 5.24 inches by 1.3 inches so it stores flat in a tool drawer or travels in a range box without taking up meaningful space. Forster has built precision reloading and gunsmithing tools for generations and the Headspace Gauge 11-Piece Set reflects the same measurement first philosophy that runs through the rest of the line. For custom rifle builders precision shooters and anyone who chambers their own barrels the set is available for sale at ARMSAGORA.
