Description
The Heckler and Koch MR556 A4 is a semi-automatic AR-15 pattern rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and 223 Remington. It is built on the commercial variant of the HK416 platform and uses a short-stroke gas piston operating system rather than direct impingement, which keeps hot gas and carbon out of the receiver.
The rifle has a 16.5-inch threaded barrel, an overall length of 36.5 inches, and a weight of 7.67 pounds. It ships without sights, uses an anodized black finish, and includes an adjustable gas regulator for tuning between suppressed and unsuppressed use. Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector, bolt release, and magazine release.
The rifle includes a six-position HK416 slimline stock and an M-LOK handguard with integrated quick-detach cups. It accepts 30-round magazines.
