Description
The HK MR762 A4 is a semi-automatic rifle built on the AR-10 platform and chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO and .308 Winchester. It is the commercial version of the HK416 design, using a short-stroke gas piston system rather than direct impingement, which keeps hot carbon fouling out of the action. An adjustable two-position gas block lets the operator tune the rifle for suppressed or unsuppressed use.
The rifle features a 13-inch threaded barrel and an overall length of 31.4 inches. It weighs 7.95 pounds and feeds from a 20-round magazine. The finish is anodized black, and the rifle ships without sights. A slimline M-LOK handguard, ambidextrous controls and a single-point quick-detach end plate are included.
