Description
Originally designed with the American market in mind, the SUP (universal self-loading pistol) has gained global acclaim for its precision and unwavering reliability. Taking inspiration from features preferred by us law enforcement and military personnel, it incorporates uniquely American controls influenced by iconic designs like the Government model 1911 pistol. More than three decades ago, HK revolutionized handgun production with the VP70Z and P9S pistols, pioneering the use of polymer materials. The SUP proudly showcases this innovation with its fiber-reinforced polymer frame, reinforced by stainless steel inserts in high-stress areas. One notable feature of the SUP is its frame-mounted control lever, serving as both a safety and decoking lever, distinguishing it from the slide-mounted safeties commonly found in many semi-automatic pistols. Equipped with a modified Browning-type action and a patented recoil reduction system, the SUP effectively mitigates recoil impacts on pistol components and minimizes perceived recoil forces for the shooter. This system's reliability has been rigorously tested and validated through the HK mark 23 pistol designed for the U.S. Special operations Command. It remains impervious to ammunition variations, requiring no specialized adjustments or maintenance, and operates seamlessly across all SUP models. The Up's modular internal component design offers adaptability, enabling the control lever function to shift from left to right, catering to left-handed shooters. Additionally, the SUP can be configured for various trigger firing modes, including double action and single action (DA/SA) as well as double action-only (DAO) modes.
