The Hoppe's Viper BoreSnake is a one-pass rifle bore cleaner designed for large-caliber rifles. A bronze brush on a nylon cord is pulled through the barrel, and a T-handle provides a grip for drawing it through the bore. A brass weight on the pull cord is stamped with the caliber it is sized for, and a cone-shaped bore guide on the leading end helps the brush enter the chamber end of the barrel.

The brush is intended to remove fouling from the bore with a single pass, and the lubrication zone on the cord allows oil to be applied as it is pulled through. The nylon cord attaches directly to the bronze scrubbing brush. The product is listed as fitting .416, .44, .45-70, .458 and .460 caliber rifle bores.
