Description
Hornady Custom 500 S&W Magnum ammunition is a factory-loaded cartridge intended for hunting. Each round uses a 500-grain XTP flat point bullet, which is designed for controlled expansion at a range of velocities and deep penetration.
The XTP bullet has six serrations that divide the jacket into symmetrical sections, weakening it to allow controlled expansion at lower velocities and reduce fragmentation at higher velocities. The load has a rated muzzle velocity of 1300 fps. Cases are non-corrosive, boxer primed and reloadable brass.
Ammunition is sold in boxes of 20 rounds, with 10 boxes per case. Each round is hand inspected before packaging.
