Hornady Precision Hunter 280 Ackley Improved 162 Grain ELD-X 20 Rounds

Hornady Precision Hunter Features Hornady s Precision Hunter ammunition sets itself apart with several key features: Heat Shield Tip: The ELD-X bullet is equipped with a Heat Shield tip that resists aerodynamic heating maintaining its shape and the highest-in-class ballistic coefficient (BC) over its entire trajectory. Advanced Design: Featuring a streamlined secant ogive an optimum boattail design and highly concentric AMP bullet jackets this ammunition offers radically superior aerodynamic efficiency. Controlled Expansion: At high velocity (0-400 yard impact) the bullet continually expands throughout its penetration path while the thick shank of the jacket and high InterLock ring ensure 50-60% weight retention. Deep Penetration: Upon low velocity (400+ yard impacts) the Heat Shield tip drives backward into the bullet to initiate expansion leading to controlled expansion with a large mushroom and 85-90% retained weight for deep penetration and large cavities.
