ITHACA ~ MODEL 72 SADDLEGUN ~ .22 LONG RIFLE

Ithaca Gun contracted with the Erma Werke in Germany to develop, manufacture, and market the Model 72 Saddlegun starting in 1972. This one is a first year of production rifle, and appears unfired in the box. They were in prodction until 1978. The rights to the tech data, design, and tooling were sold to the Henry Firearms group where it formed the core of the Henry H001 rimfire rifle.
