Our DPMS Style .308 Win BCG is precision-machined from durable 8620 steel and features a Carpenter 158 or 9310 precision hard-ground bolt, ensuring exceptional strength and longevity. The entire carrier assembly is coated with NiB (Electroless Nickel Boron) using the patented UCT EXO process, which offers superior lubricity with an impressive friction coefficient of .02 and a surface hardness of 82-85 Rockwell C. This advanced coating outperforms standard NiB coatings, contributing to smoother operation. The patent-pending design of the carrier incorporates unique shrouded and forward-facing gas ports, which have been resized to optimize gas venting compared to standard carriers. This innovation results in a flatter shooting experience with a smoother energy pulse, while also running cooler and cleaner. It minimizes pressurization within the upper receiver, particularly beneficial when operating a suppressed barrel.
