The Lantac E-BCG Enhanced 308 Winchester is a bolt carrier group for AR-10 platform rifles chambered in 308 Winchester. It is a semi-automatic replacement carrier assembly intended for use in those rifles.
The bolt carrier is precision machined from 8620 steel and fitted with a shot peened bolt made from Carpenter 158 steel, which is magnetic particle inspected. The entire assembly is QPQ nitride coated in black, a nitrocarburizing case hardening process that produces a hard, smooth surface with increased corrosion resistance and a low coefficient of friction. The carrier uses shrouded, forward-facing gas ports that are resized to vent gas differently from a standard carrier.
The manufacturer states that this design runs cooler and cleaner and reduces upper receiver pressurization when used with a suppressed barrel. A flared boss at the tail of the carrier is intended to improve its position in the buffer tube during cycling.
