The LBE Unlimited Cold Hammer Forged barrel is a 5.56 NATO replacement barrel for AR-15 platform rifles, suited to new builds or upper replacements. It is produced by cold hammer forging, a process that compresses the steel around a mandrel, and is intended for long service life and consistent accuracy.
The barrel measures 13.7 inches and is chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO. Its 1:7 twist rate is designed to stabilize a wide range of bullet weights, including heavier match and tactical loads. It is built for a mid-length gas system, which the manufacturer describes as smoother cycling with less felt recoil than a carbine-length system. A black Melonite finish covers the exterior and bore for corrosion resistance.
The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28 to accept a compensator, flash hider or suppressor mount.
