The Luth-AR MBA-1 is a fixed-style stock assembly for AR-platform rifles that installs on A1 or A2 style fixed stock buffer tubes. It is designed for shooters who want adjustability from a lightweight stock, and it is commonly used on competition and precision AR builds.
The stock is molded from glass-filled nylon and weighs 1.26 pounds. It is ambidextrous, with a cheek rest that can be configured for right- or left-handed shooting and adjusted in height and fore-aft position. The buttplate adds 1 1/16 inches of length of pull, and the cheek rest offers an additional 1 inch of height adjustment. The stock measures 10 3/8 inches, extending to 11.5 inches.
The MBA-1 fits most full-size .223/5.56 and .308 rifles. It is not compatible with carbine or collapsible stock buffer tubes; the manufacturer recommends the MBA-3 or MBA-4 for those.
