Description
The Magnum Research Magnum Lite is a .17 HMR straight pull bolt-action rifle built for fast, repeated shots with minimal hand movement. Its patented gas system taps a small amount of gas through an orifice to cycle the bolt, so the shooter keeps cheek weld and sight picture between shots. It suits pest control and small game hunting.
The rifle has a 19-inch carbon steel barrel with a black finish, a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle for a suppressor, and a 37.5-inch overall length. It weighs about 5.6 pounds and holds 9+1 rounds. The receiver has a Picatinny rail for a rimfire scope or red dot, and a two-position push button safety. The stock is a black Hogue OverMolded design with a textured grip surface.
The gas system is designed to run only 40 and 50 grain ammunition.
