Description
The Magpul Action Proving Dummy Round is a non-firing training round designed for use with AR-15 platform rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. It allows shooters to cycle and check the function of a magazine, feed path, and action without live ammunition, and it is useful for dry-fire style manipulation drills and for inspecting how a rifle feeds and ejects.
Each round is molded from glass-fiber reinforced polymer in black and is sold in a pack of five. The dummy round is dimensioned to the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge and is listed as compatible with 223 Remington chambers, which share the same external dimensions.
