Description
The Midwest Industries AK Picatinny Adapter replaces the AK factory trunnion with a Milspec 1913 rail, giving AKM pattern rifles a standardized Picatinny interface for mounting fixed or side folding stocks. Steel tension blocks inside the adapter hold the fit snug against the receiver to limit wobble.
The body is machined from 6061 hardcoat anodized aluminum in black, and it is built for AKM pattern rifles with a 32mm internal receiver width. It does not fit Yugo pattern rifles or guns using 4.5mm or 5.5mm pins. Installation requires cutting off the stock tang first, and some additional gunsmithing may be needed depending on the rifle.
