Description
The Midwest Industries Alpha AK Railed Top Cover is a Picatinny-style dust cover and rail for most AKM pattern rifles. It is designed to sit over the receiver and attach to the matching Alpha handguard system, giving the rifle an accessory rail while keeping the factory rear sight usable for mounting red dot and other optics.
The top cover is machined from 6061 aluminum with steel locking components and finished in Flat Dark Earth hard coat anodizing. It uses an adjustable locking block to achieve a tight fit and provides a lower 1/3 co-witness sight picture with the factory rear sight. The cover includes a custom recoil spring button sized for the Alpha Series system.
It is compatible only with MI-AK-ALPHA6 and MI-AK-ALPHA10.0 handguards and is not intended for other Midwest Industries generations or third-party handguards.
