Description
The Midwest Industries Alpha AK Railed Top Cover is a rail system for AKM-pattern rifles that adds an optics-ready mounting surface along the receiver top. It uses an adjustable locking block with a return-to-zero mount, so an optic can be removed and reinstalled while keeping its alignment. The rigid lockup is intended to help keep dust and debris out of the action.
The cover is machined from 6061 aluminum with an Olive Drab Green anodized finish. It retains the rifle's factory rear sight and supports a lower one-third co-witness sight picture, which suits red dot optics. A recoil spring button designed for the Alpha Series is included.
Compatibility is limited. It fits most AKM-pattern rifles equipped with MI Alpha Series handguards, and it works only with the MI-AK-ALPHA6 and MI-AK-ALPHA10.0 handguards.
