The Mossberg 500 Field & Deer Combo is a 12 gauge pump action shotgun sold with two interchangeable barrels, one smoothbore and one rifled, for use in bird hunting, clay shooting and deer hunting.
The 28 inch blued smoothbore barrel suits bird hunting and clay shooting, while the shorter rifled barrel is fitted with iron sights for deer. The shotgun chambers 12 gauge 3 inch shells, holds 5 rounds, and weighs 7.5 pounds with an overall length of 43.5 inches. The action uses twin action bars and dual extractors, and the top mounted safety is operable by either hand. The barrels swap without tools.
The bundle includes both barrels. The rifled barrel is intended for deer season.
