Bailons custom bolt action Mauser in 7 MM Mauser (7x57) with a 21.5" barrel. This example is engraved and signed by A J.G. SALT on the magazine floor plate. The top of the barrel is marked 'BAILONS GUNMAKERS LIMITED. BIRMINGHAM. ENGLAND.' with 1.5" of fine acanthus scrollwork at the chamber area of the barrel. Acanthus scroll engraved receiver with thumb cutout and marked 'CAL 7MM MAUSER". It has a fluted butterknife bolt handle, double set triggers, detachable floorplate with military style release and engraved with fine acanthus work around a central red deer portrait, signed 'J.G. SALT'. The scope is a Swarovski Habicht 6x42 Nova "Made In Austria / 645052" in quickly-detachable mounts. Well-figured pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, raised comb, sling swivels, and an unmarked rubber recoil pad. Serial 86005. No box.
